Um .. Pretty much I don't expect to have to deal with the kind of crime in LA, New York, Philly, Denver, Phoenix, Detroit, Dallas, Vegas .. even Omaha .. or anything anywhere remotely near that..
I wouldn't live in any of those places due to the danger factor and undesireable living conditions.
There was 26 murders in Q. Roo last year, (2004). 1 was a guy on some freaky drugs who ate his male lover. 11 were casualties in the narco war, executions all in one day. Pretty much the rest were domestic or fight related.
There were 2 rapes I believe in Cancun Hotel Zone, comitted on tourists by tourists.
There was a kid who did a smash and grab on a beer run and ran into the lagoon area to get away and got bit by a croc in 2,000.
So, all bullshit aside, that's what I expect.
Where do you live ? San Diego .. Cancun is safer ..
