From the info is simply sounds like ripe for the picking. It seems to be a guy, or group of guys, that target big traffic sites.
If nothing else at least this may be a warning to others to make 110% sure their domains are locked. Unfortunately despite all the BS sue your registrar comments if the domain isn't locked this could happen no matter who you use.
Don't presume they are go and check. Info is in this thread on how to do it.
