This may very well be the case, but if it is, why is it that they would only remove mine and not all or most of the girls that are on there promoting their sites in one swoop? And if that were the deal, they could have asked me to remove the link to my website instead of just deleting the whole thing. I would have complied with their wishes in order to prevent losing my whole profile.
I am still hoping it is a bug or something. For example, I can still get to the group that I created, but the moderator section is blank. Also, on my profile that I only add friends from "real life", there is a blank space on my friends list where my photo used to be in the friends section. The other thing that makes me think it is merely a glitch in the system is because when I go to my profile, I don't get the usual "Invalid Friend ID" as I would if a profile had been deleted. When I go to my page, I get a "Page Cannot Be Displayed" error. Maybe there is hope after all...
Yes, I have heard that myspace.com is not entirely run by "Tom" and that he's more of a figurehead for the company. I am interested in joining your site when it comes out and I will spread the word. And if I find out myspace deleted me... I will become your biggest cheerleader!
When is your site supposed to go live?

Bobbi, your profile was most likely removed as most adult-oriented and borderline gray-area profiles may soon be removed to appease advertisers and investors. MySpace is not run by a bunch of idiots/kids as some surfers assume. It is VERY well-funded by venture capitalists and could possibly be acquired or go public. VC did not invest in myspace's parent company to watch it turn into a spam/porn fest. I know you say that you don't fall into the porn category, and I hope you get your profile back up & running, but keep in mind it may get deleted again as they are removing all "pollution".
check out www.INTERMIX.com to see who run's myspace. They are building an internet empire completely under the radar of most people/competitors.
and if you're still looking for a place to call home, or another channel to promote yourself & site, we're launching Official.com this year. We already have hundreds of celebrities/models/personalities waiting for us to launch and plan to grow that number to thousands by summer once the site launches.
good luck with myspace.
