Basic education is the key. I have some clients that were so non technical its was suprising they could even turn a computer on. I clean there machines once (for a fee of course) and then educate them as well as provide them with the tools they need to keep the machine clean.
I have yet to have a customer have a repeat problem. Sure I dont get paid to clean the machine again, but I have a bit more computer savvy client that now trusts me to market there business or whatever I may doing for them.
They guy in this article sounds like the type that thinks hes cutting edge and knows it all. The type that wont pay for help or even take free suggestions because hes been doing this since 1996. Sad.
