it's not fucked up at all... i have it on couple of computers and it's working fine and doesnt rename any files itself...
it may seem 'fucked up' for people who never used Win NT
in my humble opinion XP is just Win NT 4 + support for different stuff like USB, Infrared, graphics stuff etc...
And Win NT 4 rules as operating system for workstations.
What is really fucked up in XP is fucking new interface
I still like simple and humble interface of NT better...
