you're usually immune after the 1st bite, i got bit by a recluse one day, wound up in the hospital (calf swelled up size of a grapefruit) swelling finally went down 4-5 days later and I got bit by a black widow and wound up in the hospital again . Since then i've been bitten by recluse's 5 or 6 times and never had anything worse then some mild itching for a day or 2
