I agree with you that the site that has the best content retains the most members, however you have to look at the programs being offered and ask yourself is it worth the number crunching.
Majority of recurring % as based on full month memberships. If you were to get 50% of that comission, this member would have to continue for more that 2 months for you to make a decent amount of money.
I personally like the idea of knowing that when a members signs up to a site, it is clean, simple and no calculating %. As a webmaster your job should be done after sending the potential member over so you can concentrate on other money making opps
And watching the $$$ come in
