Don't worry about the bandwidth costs.
I started out with freehosts over a year ago....I used freehosts for about 2 months....then I switched to paid hosting.
When I switched to paid hosting, the number of sales I made from each gallery doubled.
Unless you make amazingly crappy galleries, the extra sales you make will more than pay for the hosting costs.
You gotta spend money to make money.
