Dave I lived in Capetown for almost a year in 2003. Its a great place. You would be better off to go during Winter time since itīs Summer over there. If you go in Summer you will run into a lot of rain.
If you wanīt to Party you have to check out a club called "Rhodes House" and "Chilli n' LIme" you will have fun there. A cool place for drinks and to hangout is "Caprice" and "Eclipse" both in Camps Bay.
The best Beach is Clifton 1st and 4th. Clifton 3rd is for the Gay crowd so keep out
For some culture you should visit "Stellenbosch" for wine tasting and a great lunch.
Capetown is a cool place with many people from around the world you'll love it!
