I doubt it very much.

But the truth is the Internet is growing and magazines and videos are shrinking, purely on the fact that new buyers look on the Internet before Yellow Pages or the mall and the old ones are literally dying off.

Look at us and our situation. Three years ago our Internet sales were with a few brokers, Photorama, Best Adult Content and Scarlett. They were nice but in no way competed with a market where a single set would make $4,000

But I wanted more so went to the Vegas show to see if I could find more brokers. My reaction was so poor I came home and started www.paulmarkham.com.

Initial reaction was that there were a lot of people providing content who did not have a clue and would never be able to compete in my market, the business is fragmented and very new. Plus sales did not exactly take off.

Today we're probably one of the biggest content providers on the Net and make a lot more money than we did 3 years ago.

However when you approach the video producers to do a deal distributing their product they are scared that anything that goes on the Net will be stolen, duplicated and sold to the people who are buying from the shops.

They will slowly learn, look at the companies who have made the crossover from print and tape to the Net. Private, Score, Hustler, Vivid, Wicked, Seventeen are ones that immediately spring to mind. Some you may not know are PRO, Gold Star and Thamesmead. These is also Max Hardcore and Ed Powers with sites.

Now imagine selling videos on the Net up against the enormous back library of Evil Angel, Anabolic, etc. Don't assume because they are not here today they will not come tomorrow.

The one thing I'm learning from opening a paysite is traffic is not KING, converting is. Generating hits is not a problem, even quality hits. It's what happens when those hits arrive on a site. when the vInternet gets fully up to speed be prepared for more porn giants to want a slice of this cake.
