In six days I will have to go through the dreadful process of writing a check to Uncle Sam for his share of what I made last year. No one likes paying taxes, but hell, there's patriotic fervor in the air, and we're all proud to be Americans and we have all sorts of faith in our chosen leaders. (or so says the CNN/Gallup poll)

Then today I got to read THIS

$550,000 for a Dr Suess memorial in Massachusetts.
$50,000 in California for a program to remove people's tatoos.
$800,000 to import red fire ants into Mississippi

and the hits just keep on coming......

How about the people in California keep their tatoos and I'll keep my check? Sounds fair to me.
