Ok, I submit TGP galleries too, and I think my thumbs are great... not only me, but the TGP owners and surfers as a well. I spend a lot of time on the thumbs I submit to TGP's, lets say 15-20 minutes to choose, crop, optimize a few thumbs, then select the best one, but once they hit the Hall of Fame on major TGP's, they remain there for 2 weeks, so I don't see it as wasted time. I do think you could improve your work method though, you could end up with thumbs like yours in less than 5 minutes... easily.
