Tipsy, dont know where in the UK you live but I recommend you go to a Snow and Rock to look at bindings, if you get a good sales assistant, it is really worth it. ( A few of my family members used to work at the shops)
We were in Ellis Brigham's snowboard center today (snowboard asylum) and chatting with a VERY helpful girl. Probably going back there for the bindings as it's more local and I'll also be getting some custom moulded foot beds from them. As I say the biggest prob is simply that trying them properly really does need a long mountain run. The Burtons look the way to go though
