wired1: common sense? how many palestinian friends do you have? i have more than 10 palestinian friends both from gaza city and from nablus and jenin. i also lived in israel a few years. i speak both hebrew and arabic. i read both their madia resources and i speak to the people daily in both camps. but you have common sense, so i really can't win against you.

trust me, the media loves to see an "underdog" and support it. those poor palestinians, with israeli tanks and jets killing them all day. i don't think you understand what a bomb from an f-16 can do to a schoolyard or a tall building. if israel was at war against palestinians there would be NO PALESTINIAN left. look at what hapenned in afghanistan, when US planes dropped almost daily bombs by mistake on civilians. everytime it happenned dozens to hundreds died. do you really think it's a joke? israel was able to find two moderate arab leaders and made peace with them giving back land. egypt and jordan are good examples. unfortunetly, the palestinian leadership chose another way. israel parlament as well as the israeli public and even PM Sharon said he supports 100% a palestinian state. israel needs a palestinian state because it doesn't want to be in the territories. this was demonstrated in the peace process. read the statements of president bush. just go to the whitehouse web page and read the speeches of bush. the war is not between israelis and palestinians. it's between israel and palestinian militants who send everyday people to kill innocent israelis. evrything seems so simple when you think the world is black & white... two dimentional... it's that easy... israel is satan and arafat is saint. so do some "research" and get some "commom sense"
