Why do some people who make anonymous donations later mention the fact that they made anonymous donations? It's especially amusing when they point out they weren't looking for any kudos. I think if a famous person donates a large amount of money, it should be made public and get coverage. It might inspire other folks in a similar financial position to do the same. And who really gives a fuck what their motive is?
Awesome gesture on his part. Is it so hard to believe that he's genuinely been touched by this tragedy? He has nothing to gain by making the donation. He gets his name in the paper if he farts in public for christ's sake.
