Vacant is the overused hipster drop shadows, throwback gradients, and collage of chaos kick from 2004. Minimal tastes delicious; making the simple complicated is way to commonplace.
I guess a designer really knows that he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
Flash That Thong has a good layout, but I would clean up the tables and element alignment a little bit. Treating front-end design as mere hahaha8216;icinghahaha8217; is to jeopardize the success of any site.
Donhahaha8217;t insult your surferhahaha8217;s intelligence with trendwhorish address for the site in the logo. It only repeats what the browserhahaha8217;s location already says. Ithahaha8217;s high on the hyper redundant-meter. Surferhahaha8217;s make their credibility-based decisions about the people behind the site based upon the overall visual appeal.
The thong that appears in the background is hand vectored abstract goodness. I am willing to toy further, applying different colors if necessary.
Sorry to hear about your data loss. Good luck with the site.

Your design looks ok, your style are suitable for mainstream.
Pete is looking for a "LOGO", but your design just looks like a piece of banner. What about next time when Pete need to print a T-shirt, cap.....?
