iPods are a very good device, but do not perform so well for an active outdoors person such as me -- condensation is a problem, as is minus 25 degrees Celsius. They do look nice and are trendy.
(A few friends have the Minipod and love it, but leave it at home when we go skiing, forcing them to bust out the $39.00 MP3/CD player.)

Me, well I simply whip out the Sony Hi-MD ... zero issues!
Replacement 1GB Hi-MD for a mere $12 CND.
(I slept in a tent on New Years Eve; it was minus 32degrees Celsius not including the wind-chill and the little beast kept pounding away.)

IMHO, most if not all all-in-ones (or mops) are not a good idea-- first off ... how much memory? (32, 64, 96, 128 ... LOL) Anything without an expansion slot and under 512MB is a waste of time to me - I need at the very least 8-hours of tunes.
What happens when the phone needs to be serviced or the battery gets low. No more phone and tunes, that's what.
