This is the first year in a long time that we haven't gone. There are several reasons we didn't go:

1. My girl's brother is moving to the East Coast (in the Navy) and she won't see him for a very long time. We thought of taking him with us to 'Vegas but decided to stay here instead.

2. I was in Las Vegas last week to take a load of belongings to my sister-in-law, who will soon be my ex-sister-in-law because my brother can't stop cheating on her. She moved to her grandmother's house in LV and I had to pull a load of her shit to LV (a 600 mile 1-way trip).

3. I made the trip to LV again on Saturday, returning yesterday (Sunday). The reason? My brother's 4 year old daughter missed him like crazy and his soon-to-be-ex-wife told him to come get her for a month or so. I drove him there and back, bringing an Explorer full of her belongings back with us.

4. Two round trips to 'Vegas in a week and a half is more than enough.

5. My girl and I are both surviving on DayQuil and NyQuil at the moment. Damn cold/flu/whatever the fuck it is won't go away. Partying while feeling like this is not a good idea.

6. Instead of keeping my new year's resolution last year (which I posted here on GFY) to lose weight, I've actually gained an additional 15 lbs. I really don't want to be photographed at 260 lbs.

That about does it.
