As much as the U.S. is technologically advanced, only the west coast has tsunami warning devices in place, the east coast doesn't and if there was a quake in the Atlantic, think how fucked up the whole east coast of the United States is going to be after a 9.0 quake.
Here's the kicker, it would cost less than $12 million a year put this system into place and keep it operational.
Blows my mind when I think the amount of money we're blowing hourly in Iraq when we could be making better use of the money stateside.
