Flying with your gun insures the airline
WON'T lose your bag, they really hate stories about lost luggage and handguns, makes them and the TSA look like the clowns they really are.
The one bit of advice I can toss in, include a change of clothes in a plastic bag for your flight back, this way you can fly home without the smells of your past week (good or bad) and not smell like Vegas for that 6-16 hour flight home.
