MrIzz I told you the Tsunamis would hit us.
Spunky. Just about anytime and everytime it rains here we have flooding and at times bad flooding. They run during typhoon season an infomercial on local cable access that addresses the vegas flooding issue every year...it's about a 2 hour program. In the past it used to be really bad until these people finally learned how to design sewers etc.
There are streets on inclines here where you won't find any opening to a sewer until it gets to the bottom of the hill...so all you have is a ton of water flowing down and pooling at different intersections until it finally reaches the sewer opening at the bottom.
Another issue is when you're driving out on flat roads in the boonies and all of a sudden you hit a dip...that dip whether you realize it or now is now filled with about 4 to 5 feet of water and now you're floating down a ravine out in the middle of the desert...LOL
There have been times since I moved here where the streets got so bad a firetruck was stuck in the water.
Anyway to get back to the weather. The weather is supposed to continue this way at least to the weekend. They even discussed that there may be reason to cancel the fireworks display if the winds continue. Hope not.
