I believe in god, and that is about it
religion is the root of all evil. If there was no religion on this earth, this world would be a much better place

Yes, greed is also a reason why people kill and maim each other and hate, but religion is the #1 reason
frankly, i believe religion is man made. Religion was created by people to keep other people in line, to have control over people, and to allow a certain amount of people to gainfame and power in the name of god.

I believe Jesus was a regular person who came along and proffessed he was sent here by god, and all the other stuff that supposedly happened are things that people made up as they went, things they imagined, fairy tales that people made into reality by puting it on paper and through word of mouth

every religion has all these rulles......one sais eat pork, one sais do not, one sais pray this way, one sais do this, ETC. every religion sais they are the one true religion...almost every religion sais all man are created equal, yet, there are so many different rules for each culture.

Sure, religion might do some good, like help people through tough times by relying on religion, but overall, it does more harm then good. Everey religious freak and fundamentalist, no matter what religion they believe in, prolly believes that it is right to kill someone else in the name of god....does god really want this?

Why is it that the only prophets that have come before us(moses, jesus, mohhamad, ETC.) came long time ago, where word of mouth was how history was wrriten. Back then, if a earthquake happened, people wrote about it as though god had come down on the people. Now, we know why things like that happen....a tornado or an earthquake is not sent by god to destroy the people with no faith....

if at anytime man had needed a prophet from god to set us straight, it is now. look at what is happeneing to this world. where was our prophet when world war 2 happened? where was our prophet when world trade center got bombed? where is our prophet when the supposed holy land is seeing blood day in and day out?

in my opinion, prophets never existed, and never will. You remember david koresh? that "nut" that said he was our next jesus? had he come along 400 years ago, right now, he would have been thought of as the second coming of jesus. Religion attracts the ignorant and the needy. that is a fact. people want to believe. david koresh said the same things that jesus said. he even had more followers the jesus. yet, one is thought of as a nut, while the other as the son of god.

if jesus had been born in this age of information and technology, i promise you he would be thought of as a crazed lunatic, and not the son of god that he is portrayed as now.
