Bern's Steakhouse

Second dinner at Bern's Steakhouse last night, even better than the first. Like wine? This is the place. They have over 400,000 bottles between the cellar on premises and the two warehouses across town they keep to restock. Yup. 400,000. The chateaubriand (we got 20 oz. for two of us) was done perfectly, nice and crisp on the outside and perfectly medium-rare in the middle. And the prices are very very reasonable considering you get a cup of the INSANELY good french onion soup, a salad, baked potato, fried onions, and fresh organic vegetables included with all the entrees. The escargot and steak tartate were also very good (the tartare being the best ive ever tried) for appetizers. And the visit wouldnt have been complete without a trip up to the dessert room after, with a really nice port and some bananas foster to round out the night. Im still full the next afternoon. If youre in or around Tampa, dont walk, RUN to this place and experience it for yourself.
