another example is, a friend of mine opened a psuedo-taxi service for disabled people. the county pays them big bucks to drive a fleet of old taxi's around and take disabled people to their appointments. the county did this because, it was too costly to modify their buses. so, my friend started a para-transit service. each time a disabled person gets a ride, he gets $5.00 plus a monthly guarantee for the overhead (i.e., rent, utilities, management, employees, insurance, etc.)
