Be a winner not a loser.
Its easy to say now while you feeling so low that you are going to give up gambling but as soon as the mind relaxes a bit the pressure will come back ten fold to have another bet.
Get some new friends and take up another interest.
Otherwise you are kidding yourself and you are going to feel even worse when start another gambing binge.
Theres a great song by an Australian band, The Whiltlams called "Blow up the Pokies".Try to get a copy.It really helped me see what my life had truly become when I couldn't keep away from the horses.
Also Give all your credit cards and keycards to a close friend and let them take care of your finances for a few months.Ask them to pay all your bills and to give you an allowance every day.

I was just thinking the same thing. Good word, man.
BP, my husband just had to stop smoking pot...me too, but it didn't bother me to quit. Him, though, he had to completely change his circle of friends, and while our old school circle are all good people, our family is a lot stronger now....we can have friends over and chill out around the kids without dipping out in shifts for a toke or whatever. It's hard, but if they really care about you, they won't tempt you. Our old friends never come around much anymore, but we know it's because they respect our decision and not because they don't love us. They are being better friends by staying away.
