Heck no. I went to Fort Benning for Basic, AIT, Airborne School and Pre-Ranger.
Fort Lost-in-the-woods was that other basic training base where they had it easy. Co-ed, phone calls within a month, ordering pizza etc. Don't sweat the FTX, they're easy shit. My advice is to have a crazy "King Kong ain't got shit on me attitude and push yourself above and beyond anyone else in your platoon or company and try and get yourself on the fast-track program. Every time they would drop us and the DS would call cadence, I would always scream back "1" for the count. Pissed off some of the other guys, but fuck them; half didn't belong there and the ones that did had my back!
