Absolutely.
Helio Gracie will always be on that list. Though he lost to Kimura, he proved that Gracie Jiu Jitsu aka as Brazillian Jiu Jitsu is a viable fighting system. It has only grown in the past 50 years and getting better and more technical.
Case in point, I got my ass handed tonight by a 3 stripe blue, who I outweighed by over a hundred pounds. Not many other systems can say that they are as effective as BJJ.

I however don't agree with her point about balance and coordination. BJJ is all about keeping Base, or balance.
