No, not really. Few things result in more paperwork than an unsearched 'person of interest' ventilating their silly ass in an interview room...
As a side note, if he had stuck it in his mouth instead of against the side of his head, he would have had a more immediate and painless death, than the several moments of moaning and twitching he went through after doing what he did.
