Interesting... here (at least in Canada anyway), we have Christmas Eve on the 24th... the day before, the anticipation day... talking about going to bed early and all that stuff...
Then on the 25th everyone wakes up early to race down the stairs to see what Santa left them under the tree. And then you get all day to check out the presents and take pictures and stuff... play in the snow (if you have snow).... then it's time for a HUGE family dinner that night.
Then the next day is Boxing Day where people dispose of all the messes made the day before and hit the stores for the really big sales (stuff that wasn't good enough to be sold for Christmas).
I think that about sums up how it goes here.
