im holding back a little out of respect.. i still can't believe how many people still have latent "subject" mentality.. the queen mum and the queen don't deserve the level of disdain that the rest of the family enjoy.. hence me saying "only one more to go before they are a total joke". Still I don't feel any more or less sorry for her than any one of thousands dying in nursing homes each week.. only it's far harder to feel sympathy for someone who's been waited on hand and foot for most of their adult life and has had to deal with the hardships of gin and corgis.. i'd feel worse for bill gates.. at least he had to do some work for his cash.. and wasn't a total leech.
still england has very strange class based society.. doesn't even pretend that it doesn't exist like in other western socities
it might be hard to understand the level of hatred some people can feel for the very idea of being born into "station" the result of being inbred fallopian fodder - without the automatic defense response of actually living in the affected place.. even if a brit despises the monarchy they are hardly going to agree with a yank that she was accusation "x".
