Both need to be paid off.
But a bet - shit, that you SHOULD be able to pay off right then and there. If you can not pay up on a bet the very second it is due then you have NO business making it in any way. If you need to say 'pk, I will pay you next week' then you are an idiot for making the bet. So yes, I agree with you it needs to be paid off right then and there - I never said anything different.
I also see a deal in the same manner. If I say I will have somehting for you by say friday... then I am going to have it for you by then. You know why? Because I told you I would. I gave you my word, we made a deal - I view it in the same way as I view a bet. If you can not come thru then you should not be making the deal.
NOTED that some times shit does come up - family stuff, you can get in a car accident and be in a hospital for some time, etc. In cases where something like that comes up where you can in now way get the thing done on the agreed upon date then I would say that is ok to be late, as long as you bust your ass to get it to me as soon as you can (to show you are trying to make up for the delay).
But unless something serious comes up - I would expect you to follow thru with the deal just as you would expect me to come thru with the deal, just as we would expect each other to come thru on a bet.
And - if for some reason you can not come thru on the deal I would expect a full refund. Ther eis no excuse not to give a full refund.
And each person has their way of dealing with people who do not come thru. Some are drama queens and take it to the boards staright off - some do what you would do for example. Each person has their own way of dealing with a welcher.
