Man, I feel for you.
The first time I went anywhere after my last baby was born, I was taking her to an appointment-she was 8 days old, I think. I had just gotten a card with $50 in it to go spend on her. We stopped at my office to show off the baby, and I ALMOST grabbed the diaper bag, but I figured, I'll have my hands full and I never locked my car in the lot and never had a problem. I was in the office maybe ten minutes, got back in the car and my diaper bag was gone. Had my wallet in it, the card with the money, my housekeys, diapers and clothes she hadn't even worn yet, the charger for a borrowed camcorder, and, this is almost the worst, her crib card from the hospital, and the total worst, a disposable camera full of pictures from when she was born. (I had c-sections, so no graphic ones, lol.)
I can replace my license, and all that stuff, but those pictures I would give my right arm to get back.
Luckily we have an alarm for the house, because I was really freaked out about someone (who is obviously a fucking asshole to steal from a newborn) having both my driver's license with my home address and my housekeys.
