That's a waste of time. 
 
Phone the local branch and the local postmaster will/should look into it. He'll only have to walk 100 feet to look into what's up with your letter carrier. If he doesn't know what's up, the sorters will. 
 
The 800 number won't know shit. 
 
I used to work at the post office and the toll free line and local branch unit communication is shit.

 Ok ... so I have to go there right ? cauz there is no phone # arround for the local places . they only show the 800 on the website / 411
