The way I understand it, it says 'destroy the shark', meaning one shark. Unless you interpretted that as 'the entire shark species', but I doubt that would even be possible, and obviously not what they meant.

You think the house you live in was always there do you? A nice concrete slab put there by God, think about it. Humans destroy the evironment all the time, that is about all humans do. When has man saved something that wasn't destroyed by man in the first place?
Do you eat meat? Most people do, what is the difference between killing a cow for your own well being and killing a shark? Both involve killing an innocent animal for the benifit of humans.
Unless you kill yourself, or live on equal grounds with nature, you are supporting the destruction you say you aren't.
