actually, they know exactly what they are doing...
the reason why it's so popular is because the members don't know it's run by a corporation and part of a masterplan with VC funding, etc. Most members think it's run by a couple of guys just like "hot or not". LOL. the site grew thru viral marketing and still flying under-the-radar for most people and competitors.
