just because the niche is amateur doesn't mean the design should be. When you say *shitty layout* I can only assume you really mean giving it a rougher look and using actual amateur images versus porn stars, and not meaning that a 7 year old should design the layout so that it's "crappy"....
bad design is bad design... the site is irrelevant.... design is not simply making something look pretty.... anyone can do that... there are certain things that go into a design that most people are completely unaware of.... such as using various techniques to guide your visitor to exactly where you want them to go... (eyes and mouse)....
so, please... don't say something sells better with a *shitty* design without clarifying some of it.... would you trust some schmuck from an AOL chat room to do your amateur paysite so that it comes out with a *shitty* look to it and hope that it sells?
