Plenty of us operate under the ASACP guidelines without even having to donate money to the cause, although, there are also those of us who have donated money also.
Opening your check book in the name of ASACP in order to be on the board means just that... You paid for the position.. and the access to the industries heavy hitters.

i opened my checkbook and didn't ask or want to be on the board.
course i (and a LOT of other adult companies) put my money where my mouth is and don't find ways to weazel out and still pretend like it's ok.
