No it doesnt.
Being on the board means that you have bought your way into a perceived 'elite' organization where you get to meet a bunch of the industries big wigs.
Plenty of us operate under the ASACP guidelines without even having to donate money to the cause, although, there are also those of us who have donated money also.
Opening your check book in the name of ASACP in order to be on the board means just that... You paid for the position.. and the access to the industries heavy hitters.
