Am I the only Dan Brown reader here?
Christmas is a pagan holiday, the birth of Jesus has nothing to do with Dec 25th...try winter solstice and the merging of religious cultures to oust the mother earth concept to meld with the birth of Christianity. The crusades and male dominance resulted. It's a beautiful story that indicates that every day of our year and all that we celebrate in this world are interwoven fabrics of human consciousness.
I imagine what a different world it would be if on christmas, rather than buying presents and worshiping the powerful allmightly dollar of retail and economy we rather, took that 700$ on average and donated to charitable causes. Oh well, another year with W as santa clause.
