I dont understand why...if people think these contests are
beneath them...why'd they'd even bother voicing it?
Wouldnt you simply just ignore it? Seems rather malicious to
come in and tell budding designers just starting out that they are
shit...unless it's because you see work that might over take yours
some day and its a worry?
It may only be 100.00 to some but its also advertising for that
designer and it also goes in their portfolio..so..its certainly
worth it to alot of people starting out to do as many jobs as possible.
Also as Platinum Pimp said, it is fun to compete and see how your
skills measure up against others...its not necessarily about the
money all the time...its also about getting your name out there.
Not everyone designs the same and some have a certain vision
that you may not be able to see...and thats cool..but youre really
just extremely and very obviously petty if you cant just go about
your business and let others go about theirs.
If you want people to do business with you...conducting
yourself professionally no matter what the industry and no
matter what the situation.....should always be key.
