Yes, the top hosts on ifriends make lots and lots of money. Personally I've never been in the top ten but I have made well upwards of a grand a week, for about 30-35 hours of work in my heydays. Yes, ifriends is in a deep slump right now and the numbers are not as good, although I have LOTS of chathost friends who still do very well on there, and make fedex when they need to. However, I dont do phone/audio, or spread and play, and I charge 3.99 and up, ALWAYS, and I seem to do rather well just bringing in some yahoo traffic. I'm not gonna give you my chathost name, but I will tell you I work a special niche (not gonna tell you what that is either), and I know how to work my traffic.
I know of a girl who made #7 and her sales were in the six thousand dollar mark. Another girl last January was #9 with just about 4,500. She's a 19 year old cutie with a great knack for anal zooms lol.
There is an infamous chathost I dare not mention who is usually way way up there on the list, charges 4.99 and up, and is quite mysterious and has no pics, no site, nothing. Yet she's always in a private chat and online twenty five fucking hours a day it seems. Rumor has it she's on a different server or some crap, or she must be part of the company somehow. I think she's just very strategic and has managed to work her angles just right.
The big thing most webmasters and cam sites fail to see about just why so many girls stick with ifriends, is the fact that regardless of what they might actually do, they claim to NOT reproduce our content or sell it anywhere, and appeal to those ladies who wish to remain pretty anonymous due to their real life status, ie dayjobs, kids, etc. All these other cam sites that are popping up wanting to pay 35% or a few bucks an hour will never acheive the status ifriends has, or had lol, because they're WAY TOO PORN! By that, I mean its just too XXX upfront, and I have lots of chathost friends who will never leave ifriends because they TRUST them.
I used to be a studio manager and set designer for Babenet, in addition to working for Blowmelive (holio) and been around internet live stuff her in so-cal since 96 (hope this never gives away my identity here!), and once a Talent was recognized in fucking Kmart after we at Babenet assured Suzy Homemaker that it was low-pro..... well let's just say there'd be a raging pissed off housewife on the phone and one less talent to schedule.
But yeah, the boss's words were "oh well, she quit, but she'll be working here a loooong time!"
And that shit is exactly the reason that no matter how much ifriends fucks around with the talent, some of the ladies will NEVER leave them.
Personally I have not done much on ifriends lately, because I am busy with my own site now, and using paypal to do my private shows---Fuck the IRS.
I'm about to buy a few wigs and duplicate exactly what I have done but under different aliases and make some serious cash this year.
I love the internet. Few things are more gratifying to me than using men online so my boyfriend and I can smoke dope all day and build sites.
I plan on getting very rich, but not by any conventional means in terms of "webmastering." The internet was made for assholes like me who succeed in walking the line and getting rich. Deviate.
