If you really want the link to be perm -- just use regular HTML...?
<a href="http://blah.com/">link</a> -- then you can just use some simple outstats script on your server if you really want accurate counting...
that may throw off your productivity a little bit but the damage is minimal and across the board w/ all trades so your site won't suffer at all. I even do this with my own scripts -- and usually I don't put ads behind a script either (either it's against TOS or there's no point anyway in knowing outs when sales are all that count...)
