Best way to keep the underage off your sites.
I recently became slightly concerned about children accessing my sites when I investigated a chargeback I recieved. I was told that the person that signed up was under the legal age and not liable for their actions. I started to wonder how many chargebacks I get are from underage people. I promote filtering software on my main sites. But I don't understand exactly how they work. If the kid just shuts down his computer and restarts it is safe mode and removes the filtering software would that not disable the filtering software?
Post your tips on keeping the little ones off your sites, and protecting yourself when they do get access. From kinds of warning pages to HTML coding that filtering software looks for when blocking sites. Also any information about laws and or court cases pertaining to the subject.
I believe this will become an even more major issue in the future and we should work together to protect eachother and those fragile little minds.
