Dawgy - the Olympus does have slow write times but it's never been a problem with me. If I were shooting journalism or sports and needed a camera that could keep up with the action, that's a totally different situation. I'm shooting nakid girls man....and for what I do - it's perfect.
The trade off (if there is one) is that I get quality images from an affordable prosumer camera but have to shoot a little slower then what some might be used to. One positive things about shooting slower is that it forces you to slow down and think about what your doing. Gives you time to recompose a new shot instead of shooting 12 images of the very same pose (which you'll see plenty of as you check out some of the content sellers that frequent some of the boards).
All in all - it's a great little camera and perfect for what I do and the way I shoot. It isn't a great camera for everyone though -
