There's no such thing as oversaturation. There's is a such thing as undermarketing. A lot of guys have great sites but they forget how to make something old look fresh and new.
For instance in mainstream you have Publisher's Clearinghouse, The McRib, American Idol (Star search all over again) and many many other old tired ideas rehashed again and again.
In porn you have Bangbus. Those guys constantly made the trailers and galleries look fresh and captivating even after we thought it had to be over. It's still not over, the affilliates may have a hard time but overall I bet the joins on it are as high as plenty of other program's flagship sites.
Webmasters don't spend enough time coming up with fresh ideas when it comes to marketing their sites. If you really think about it, all the scenes are basically the same. It's all in the spin.
