That's clever, although in this case I don't think that's his motive, as he's mailing about domains with REGISTRAR-LOCK active, and he'd only need to send out a single message to each email address for that purpose.
Chupachups, it's not just a misunderstanding; according to ICANN's new rules, the current registrar can no longer prevent transfer requests for unlocked domains unless the owner explicitly rejects them. Failure to reply is the same as approval. The replies you made were likely made to the gaining registrar, not the current registrar of the domains being transferred.
