roosevelt ( his government in fact ) always refused to come into the war even when churchill was asking him, they knew perfecly what atrocities the nazis were doing in europe yet the american people din't want to get involved . americans preferred the " pret bail" wich involved providing weapons to england at an inflated price that they would have to pay over the years .
america entered the war only when japan bombed them in the pacific wich provided roosevelt with an excuse towards the public opinion to enter the war, they declared war to japan and because japan was allied with the germans they had to get involved in the western front .
they accepted to get involved in the western front only after the allied accepted to sign contracts stating that they would have priority on all the reconstruction contracts even in germany ( wich is why they bombed relentlessly towns that were far from having any strategic value .
stop being simplistic and dig the facts a little before you speak on something you have no clue about .
