I have a friend who left me the keys to her apartment to feed her cats, she is currently in another city hundreds of miles away and won't be able to return until Tuesday night.
For each day I was suppose to feed them two times. Unfortunately when I went to try and open the door, it turned out she gave me the wrong key.
The cats were last fed on Friday night(exactly at midnight.)
Do you think they will resort to drinking out of the toilet bowl if the situation calls for extreme measures? They have not had a history of ever drinking out of there before though...
I don't know what I should do, I hope my friend doesn't come back home to her cats dead

Should be okay. They will hate your guts, but should be okay, I think. Aren't there any cracks somewhere that you can slowly insert food little by little?
