Yeah, but we're talking obsenity here, not legality. Murder is illegal but showing fake murder is fine because it's not obcene. Rape is obscene whether it's fake or not. Or at least that's the legal point the prosecutor wants to make.

Of course, I see rape all the time in hollywood movies. But there is "artistic value" in those movies. At least that's the theory.

I know an fbi agent who investigates obscenity. He asked me what content I thought was ok to show. I told him that John Asssshcroft was the personification of the Religious Right and if he had his way he'd shut down all porn, but he knows he can't so he doen't try. I went on to say that imo almost anything goes except things that are absolutely no question about it disgusting, like cp and "people shitting in other people's mouths." His reply was "yeah, that's about right."

btw, this same agent knew that I ran some soft bdsm sites (soft in that I don't show much more than bondage accompanied by much verbage about what a terrible situation poor suzzie is in) and he had no problem with it.

My personal belief is that simulated rape is too extreme, I would not go there.
