Very true. Chat/Im spamming is dead. Move on.
These are not the glory days circa < 2003 when you would get a sale as soon as you joined a room or sent a single IM.
Here's a summary of why for those thinking of trying:
AOL/AIM -currently suing
MSN Messenger -also currently suing
MSN Chat -Dead since they went to paid a year ago
Yahoo Chat -Constantly tweaking the protocol so anything you have today won't work tomorrow and if you expect to get constant updates from your mass produced or even custom program to keep up with the changes, dream on.
Yahoo IM -Will be dead if ICANN gets rid of .infos.
Yahoo will no doubt follow MSN and AOL with legal action soon.
Same story with ICQ
This is not to mention the default settings that they all have in place not to accept messages or URLs from ppl not on your list etc.
Everybody laughed at that dude trying to sell his chatroom spammer for like $20 Grand on here I think at the beginning of this year as he said it would be illegal just like email in a few months. Looks like he was right after all.
Move on to SE's so that you will be making money while you sleep unlike chat/IM spamming where if you stop, your income stops.
